Big, uninhabited cove on the south side of Šolta, right beside Splitska vrata, piece of the sea on which there's the biggest traffic on Adriatic sea. It's peaceful and quiet. Down her coast we can find only one house. Nobody knows how long this will last, because of the plans of construction of big tourist settlement. Until then you can freely anchor. I never ran onto more boats when i've anchored here.
In the daytime we can sometimes find a ship that sails the islands with its guests, but it sails out in the evening. There are many boats from Split, but sailors mostly don't anchor here. Probably the cause of that is that there are other more popular coves nearby and because the sailors treat Splitska vrata as a passage not the place to anchor. The cove is completely opened to the south and it indented whole kilometer into the land.
It's well protected from other winds especially from the maestral and tramontana. It's deep in the center but you can anchor in its northern part on depths of 15 meters on a sandy bottom. The sea is crystal clear and you will enjoy the swimming and scuba diving.
