Elkins Elkins Cutter
This is a 1936 Motor Yacht/Cruiser, she is a well built classic that has been recently sympathetically refurbished, whilst keeping a lot of her original fittings along with the original joinery in the saloon.
She has an aft double berth, with storage underneath and a hanging locker which is opposite the bathroom with a shower and Jabsco head with holding tank.
The wheelhouse has been modified and includes a port side settee, with storage underneath, and a fridge/freezer. The helm station has all original guages and is dual steering.
In the salon there are 2 settee berths, which house the water tanks and batteries, original polished Mahogany joinery, lead-light cabinets and drop-leaf table. There is an original butterfly hatch which gives lots of natural light.
The galley is pretty much original, on the port side is a 2 ring gas cooker (not connected) with lots of storage, a gas water heater (not connected) and sink and a cooler on the starboard side.
There are 2 single berths forward, with storage under the bottom bunk and also a hanging locker.
She has the original Stuart Turner generator and electrical box (circa 1936) but in my amateur opinion could do with some wiring updating
She has a carvel pitch-pine hull, copper fastened to steam bent Canadian Rock-Elm timbers and sawn Oak frames. Oak back-bone and floors.
Sheathed pine decks, Mahogany wheelhouse and aft cabin coamings. Mahogany skylight, hatches, rubbing strake and brightwork. Straight vertical stem, round bilges, long ballast iron keel, transom stern and traditional three-quarter break to flush foredeck.
Berth in South East Coast marina with full electric hook up, close to all amenities.
Would make an ideal holiday home, weekend retreat or a comfortable liveaboard in a beautiful seaside town.
